Finger Lakes Effect

Local art, new music, Sunday meetup + more

It’s been hot. Like don’t-touch-the-steering-wheel hot.

If you’ve been hiding indoors or sweating it out like the Boilermaker runners in Utica last weekend, let’s change things up this Sunday with a relaxed meetup along the water.

Join me this Sunday for the Finger Lakes Effect reader meetup: a casual walk and some Farmers Market fun.

📍 Stewart Park → Ithaca Farmers Market
📅 Sunday, July 20th at 1pm

It’s a casual out-and-back walk along the Waterfront Trail. Meet up, make a friend or two, and then we’ll go from Stewart Park to the Farmers Market, hang out for 30–45 minutes, and make our way back on our own time. Details here:

📅 WHAT’S HAPPENING

In this case, what happened…

The 2nd Saturday - Greater Ithaca Art Trail was featured last week and it turns out we had several studios open nearby!

We headed out on Saturday to this super fun and friendly spread-out event and got to meet local artists who opened their home studios.

Thank you to Kari Robertson, Karen Viola, and Philip Viola for taking part & sharing your time and love of your craft with us!

Getting to check out the artwork in person was incredible—and talking with the artists added so much to the experience.

Highly recommend checking out these and other studios during October’s Open Studios events.
